The Lincoln boys golf team has gotten off to a fast start in 2025, as the Bulldogs have performed well in all three events thus far, most recently taking 3rd as a team on Monday.
Lincoln shot a team score of 323 at the Coweta Invitational at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow.
The Bulldogs were behind team champion 5A Claremore, who shot 309 as a team on the River Course.
Another 5A team, McAlester, was team runner-up with a score of 313.
Freshman Brant Ritzhaupt led the way on Monday with a team-low 79 to finish 8th overall.
Junior Luke Campbell shot 80 to finish just behind at 11th, while sophomore Kael Wilkinson fired an 81 to take 16th individually.
Senior Ryan Cordova shot an 83 to finish 22nd overall, while junior Caleb Ellig carded an 83 to take 25th.
The Bulldogs' JV team also played very well at Indian Springs on Monday, as that group finished 6th with a team score of 345, behind 5A Bishop McGuinness (334) and Inola (344).
"I'm excited about our group," said head coach Jeff Campbell. "Our seniors are leading and our underclassmen are pushing them to compete for tournament positions."
Last Tuesday, Lincoln took 2nd place as a team at the East Central Invitational at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Claremore.
Cordova led the way with a 4th place finish, while Campbell was right behind in 5th as an individual
"We have competed well early on and Ryan has been really strong for us," said Campbell.
Ritzhaupt was 9th to give Lincoln three top-10 finishers.
Last Monday, Lincoln took 3rd place in the Miami Tournament at Peoria Ridge Golf Course in Miami.
The Bulldogs are at Crimson Creek Golf Course in El Reno on Thursday for the Yukon Tournament, before returning to play at Bailey Ranch in Owasso on April 10 for the Collinsville Invitational.
