Bulldogs Playing Well Early, Unbeaten in District Play to Start 2025

During a busy first two weeks in the 2025 season, Lincoln has gotten off to a solid start and are hoping that continues.

The Bulldogs are 5-3 through the first two weeks, which includes a 3-0 start in District 3A-7 play.

Lincoln opened the season with three wins last week, beating Booker T in the season opener at home 4-3 and winning 5-1 at Claremore Sequoyah before heading to the Haskell Festival last weekend.

The Bulldogs won 6-3 over Fort Gibson last Friday in Haskell before dropping the final two games of the festival, falling 3-1 to Haskell and 4-1 to Oktaha.

Lincoln rebounded with two big district wins early last week, however.

The Bulldogs swept Salina on Monday and Tuesday, cruising against the Wildcats in a 12-2 win on Monday and a 12-1 win on Tuesday.

Lincoln fell at the RSU Festival on Thursday night, losing to Claremore 6-1.

The Bulldogs are back in action this week, when Lincoln travels to NOAH on Tuesday. The Bulldogs return home to host Commerce on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m.

LINCOLN 4, BOOKER T WASHINGTON 3

The Bulldogs opened the season on Aug. 12 with a come-from-behind walk-off win at home, scoring three runs in the bottom of the 7th to win.

With Lincoln trailing 3-1, Bryleigh Milligan ripped a single to center, scoring Sophia Nantz to cut the lead to one.

After Jade Summerlin advanced to 3rd and Milligan ran to second, the Bulldogs were in business with senior Kabry Kiger coming to the plate.

Summlerin tied the game on a wild pitch while Milligan simultaneously advanced to 3rd, putting the winning run just 90-feet away.

Shortly after, Kiger lifted a ball to right field that was unable to be handled, dropping and allowing Milligan to cross home and win the game.

Lincoln got a big pitching performance from senior Maddi Stewart to open the season, as she pitched a complete game, allowing just two earned runs on one hit. She walked four but struck out nine hitters.

Milligan was 2-for-4 with a double. Summerlin also doubled.

Stewart, Sophie Ellis and Elizabeth Eddings each singled in the win for Lincoln.

LINCOLN 6, FORT GIBSON 3

Lincoln jumped out to an early lead and kept its distance throughout, as the Bulldogs opened the Haskell Invitational last week with a comfy win over Fort Gibson.

The Bulldogs scored multiple runs in each of the first two innings, leading 5-1 heading to the 3rd.

After the Tigers cut the lead to 5-3 in the 4th, the Bulldogs pushed the lead back to three with a run in the bottom of the 4th.

Stewart was 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and two RBIs.

Haylee Delozier was also 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored. Kiger had a double, while Brooklyn Malone also had two hits and two RBIs.
