8/20 at Lincoln

Lincoln hosted a new cross country meet on Saturday August the 20th. The 300+ acre campus was host to 13 teams and 340 runners. The 1 mile race ran the length of the cross country course and finished with a long straight away.

BOYS
Led by Andrew Smithwick in 1st (and setting the course record) with a time of 4:31 and Jaxson Brooks in 2nd, the boys team finished in 2nd as a team. Strong performances by Josh Gillion, Jack Strode, Lukas Bury and Tyler Stine brought the Bulldogs within 3 points of 1st place. 

 GIRLS
The high school girls placed 2nd thanks to top 10 finishes by Baylee Woodrich and freshman Brynlee Durborow. The girls ran together and had several other runners in the top 25 - Bre Allen, Sierra Dillingham and Kaitlin Richerson. Also running varsity were Kate Posey and Saylor Franklin

JUNIOR HIGH
The JHi teams swept as Tennyson Housley won for the girls team and Sammy Farris won for the boys (Ty Brooks in 2nd). Both teams were the meet champions.

UP NEXT
This upcoming Thursday, the 25th, the high school teams will go to the Owasso Relays at Mohawk Park. A unique relay format where each runner takes 1.5 miles before passing the baton.  The girls run at 4:00 PM and the boys run at 5:00 PM
