Home Bulldogs Take Opener 33-0

The Lincoln Christian Bulldogs opened up the 2023 season with a commanding 33-0 shutout of the visiting Holland Hall Dutch Friday night at Dennis Byrd Stadium. The Bulldog defense dominated from start to finish holding the Dutch to less than 200 yards of offense while scoring 2 touchdowns of their own. Malakai Dillard scored the first touchdown of the year when he returned a fumble in the first quarter and Sawyer Brooks returned an interception for a score in the third quarter. Mason Torres led the defense with 13 tackles. Offensively, the Bulldogs struggled to find any consistency. Moses Fullingim rushed for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lincoln will travel to Jones this Friday to take on the Longhorns who were 26-14 winners over Bethany last Friday night.
