Bulldogs Improve to 6-0 on the Season

In an electrifying showdown, the 3A #2 ranked Lincoln Christian Bulldogs triumphed over the 3A #6 ranked Checotah Wildcats 54-20.

From the opening kickoff, the Bulldogs wasted no time establishing their dominance. The first quarter saw Lincoln Christian explode, outscoring the Wildcats by an impressive 21-0 margin. This early lead set the tone for the rest of the game.

However, the Wildcats were not about to surrender without a fight. In the second quarter, they managed to find their footing, putting up two touchdowns and narrowing the halftime score to 34-13. It was a spirited effort from Checotah, but the Bulldogs offensive line continued to dictate the flow of the game.

Lincoln Christian's offensive prowess was on full display, amassing a staggering 652 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs' ground game was particularly dominant, with three different running backs eclipsing the 100-yard rushing mark. Sawyer Brooks led the charge with 156 yards on 22 carries, notching two crucial touchdowns. Moses Fullingim contributed 117 yards on 17 carries, also with two touchdowns, while Hudson Farris added 115 yards on just 7 carries, finding the end zone once.

Quarterback Luke Milligan had an outstanding performance, completing 15 of 19 passes for 254 yards and tossing three touchdowns. Connor Rowlett emerged as his favorite target, making two receptions for 109 yards and two touchdowns, while Kylan Schultheis contributed with two catches for 25 yards and another touchdown.

The Bulldogs didn't just excel on the offensive side of the ball; their defense was equally impressive. Dawson Fullingim made his presence felt with three sacks, disrupting the Wildcats' offensive rhythm. Mason Torres recorded eight tackles, including one tackle for loss, and Micah Kruse had six tackles, one tackle for loss, and a crucial fumble recovery.

With this resounding victory, the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs extended their undefeated streak to 6-0 for the season. The Bulldogs are now set to go on the road once again as they prepare to face Seminole in their upcoming District 3A-3 matchup next Thursday.
