Lincoln Christian dominates Holland Hall in the opener, posting a strong 56-7 win against the defending state champions.
The Bulldogs started the game off with a bang, with Griffin Dyer taking the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown to put Lincoln up 7-0. The Bulldogs defense then continued the fast start, with Easton Rogers picking off a Matthew Underwood pass to give Lincoln prime field position. Rogers then ran in a 5 yard touchdown for the Bulldogs, making the game 14-0 early in the first quarter.
The Bulldogs defense then forced a Holland Hall three-and-out, giving the ball back to the Lincoln offense with 6:31 left in the first quarter. Rogers then picked up his 2nd touchdown on the day, running it in out of the wildcat formation to give the Bulldogs a 21-0 lead after one quarter.
Lincoln's offense continued to dominate in the second quarter, with John Washington running in a 15 yard touchdown and Luke Milligan hitting Cam Dooley for a 27 yard touchdown to put the Dogs up 35-0 with 4:12 left in the quarter. Milligan then hit Dylan Baldridge for a 4 yard touchdown pass, giving the Bulldogs and their dominant defense a 42-0 halftime lead.
Holland Hall started the second half scoring their only touchdown of the day, a 15 yard touchdown pass to Parker Jenny to cut the Bulldog lead to 42-7. The defense would dominate all game, forcing two turnovers and holding the Dutch to 7 points.
The Bulldogs weren't done on the offensive side of the ball however, scoring two more touchdowns in the form of John Washington and Moses Fullinghim touchdown runs.
Lincoln will look to continue their dominance next Friday, as they will play the Jones Longhorns in the Bulldogs home opener.
