It was an unforgettable senior night for Lincoln volleyball on Tuesday evening, as the star-studded Bulldog class helped Lincoln to a 3-0 sweep of Rejoice.

No. 4 Lincoln (18-10) was in control from start to finish, playing almost an exclusively senior only lineup to roll past Rejoice.

"Senior night was full of emotion and more energy than I could have imagined," said senior Harlow Brown. "Seeing the underclassmen express and appreciate the upperclassman was more heartwarming than I could've hoped for."

Lincoln won the opening set 25-20 before winning the second set 25-21.

The Bulldogs kept the foot on the gas in the third set, rolling 25-13.

"The energy and emotions were beyond anything you can imagine," said senior Lillian Brisco.

Lincoln was led by senior Addison Torres, who has been out all season to injury.

However, Torres was able to come back for one final game, and she delivered.

"The crowd went wild when it was time for Addison to rotate in to serve," said Lincoln head coach Deidra Rader. "She got special clearance to play in the match and she will live the rest of her life with perfect season stats."

Torres had a team-high five aces and a perfect serve percentage in 19 attempts.

"She was delivering her beautiful float serves all night," said Rader. "And her two digs went right to Aubrey (Feeley). We told her to jump out of the way if any hard-driven balls came her way, but her teammates protected her."

Feeley had three aces of her own, along with two kills and a team-high nine digs and 20 assists.

"I'm so thankful to be able to give everyone a chance to be able to contribute a point during the game and have a chance in the spotlight we all deserve," Feeley said.

Senior Jayla Albert had a team high six kills and two digs in the sweep for Lincoln.

"It was so amazing to share stories with one anthem and reminisce on past years with these seniors," said Albert.

Brown had four kills and two aces in her final home showing as a Bulldog, while the Swindall sisters also had a great night.

Olivia and Peyton both had strong showings, as Olivia finished with four kills and four digs, while Peyton had an ace, two kills and five digs.

"It was so much fun celebrating with all the people who have been by my side since I started volleyball," said Peyton Swindall. "I've never felt so loved and appreciated by so many people. It was a blast."

Senior Brylee Beers finished with an ace and a perfect serve percentage in 14 attempts, along with four digs in the three-set sweep.

"The underclassmen made me and the other seniors feel so loved and appreciated," said Beers. "The energy on the bench was reciprocated for me, as I am usually the one cheering on others."

Senior Katelyn Brett also had an ace in the win, while finishing with three digs, as well.

"It was so beautiful because we got to hear the impact we have made on the underclassmen and teammates," said Brett.

Even senior Isabella Rodriguez said a special moment made the night worth everything to see the emotion from one of her coaches.

"It was a night special enough to make Coach Leake cry for the third time in his life," Rodriguez said.

Senior Drue Froelich had four digs, as her night was highlighted by the impact the big senior class made on the future of Lincoln volleyball.

"I loved hearing the impact each one of our seniors had on the underclassmen when sharing their favorite moments," said Froelich.

Lincoln is at the Bishop McGuinness tournament this weekend.

The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season at No. 12 (4A) Holland Hall and at No. 3 Crossings Christian next week before regionals take place on Oct. 8.

Lincoln is looking for the program's 18th straight trip to the state tournament this fall.
