The Varsity boy's basketball team had a big weekend as they went 3-0, to win the Tri-State Tournament. On Thursday night Lincoln tipped off against host team Jay and won 73-28 to advance into the semi-finals. Noah Reimer had a big game against Jay as he posted a huge double-double with 30 points and 15 rebounds. Seth Kruse added 13 and Logan Isbell had 10 to round out the Bulldogs leading scorers for the night.
In the Semi-Finals Lincoln faced off against Seneca, a 4A team out of Missouri. Lincoln started the game off fast with a 24 point first quarter and never looked back as they won, 77-52. Seth Kruse had a big game for the Bulldogs as he went 7 for 10 behind the three point line and had a game high 23 points. The other leading scorers were Noah Reimer with 15 points, Cainen Mar with 10 points, Jake Wilson and Logan Isbell with 8 points each.
In the championship game Lincoln saw another 4A team out of Missouri, the East Newton Indians. It was a close game through the first 3 quarters as East Newton went into the 4th with a one point lead. The Bulldogs scored 21 points in the fourth to come back and win, 52-48. Logan Isbell led the scoring with 11 points, as Cainen Mar and Noah Reimer had 10 points each. Seth Kruse added 8, and Zane Hampton who took 2 big charges late in the game added 6 points of his own.
This week the Bulldogs look to continue their winning streak as they host, Victory on Tuesday, Metro on Thursday and Cascia on Friday.
